Raj B Shetty joins the cast of Antony Varghese's next

Earlier, we had reported that actor Antony Varghese would join forces with production house Weekend Blockbusters for an upcoming Malayalam film. It has now been learned that Kannada actor-filmmaker Raj B Shetty has joined the film's cast.

It is to be noted that the yet-to-be-titled film will mark the third Malayalam film that Raj B Shetty is part of. The first two are Rudhiram, also starring Aparna Balamurali and Mammooty-starrer Turbo. Both of these films are still in production. 

The upcoming film, the seventh production of Weekend Blockbusters, marks Antony Varghese's second collaboration with the banner. They have previously collaborated for RDX. 

The yet-to-be-titled film, directed by debutant Ajit Mampally, is billed as an action-packed revenge drama set against the backdrop of the sea. The film has locations set at Kollam, Varkala, Anchuthengu and Rameshwaram.

The film has a script penned by the director himself, along with Roylin Robert and Satheesh Thonakkal. The film's technical team comprises music director Sam CS, who worked in RDX, cinematographer Jithin Stanislaus, and editor Sreejith Sarang.

Meanwhile, Raj is best known for his films Ondu Motteya Kathe and Garuda Gamana Vrishabha Vahana, both of which had him as the lead actor and director. He was last seen in Toby, which was also dubbed and released in Malayalam. The film is directed by debutant Basil Alchalakkal.
