Lydian Nadhaswaram commences composing for Barroz, pens a note 

Earlier, we had reported that the internationally acclaimed young musician, Lydian Nadhaswaram, would debut as a music composer for legendary actor Mohanlal's debut directorial Barroz. On Thursday, Commencing his recording for the upcoming film at Kopje, Macedonia, by sharing a glimpse of the recording session, Lydian pens a note on his X handle.

"With love and respect to all music lovers, composers and great musicians around the world… My first orchestral recording for my debut movie Barroz, directed by Mohanlal sir! It was an honour and an absolute pleasure to come all the way to Skopje, Macedonia, and conduct the Famesproject Studio Orchestra for the first time! Many thanks to Mr Andrew T McKay for making this happen! Here is a glimpse of the recording session! Need all your blessings for my healthy musical life," the young pianist who won the American television talent show The World's Best,  wrote. 

While Lydian has been roped into composing the film's songs, South African music composer Mark Kilian, known for his compositions like the Oscar-winning Eye In The Sky, Traitor and Pitch Perfect, will be composing the background score for Barroz. 

Produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas, Barroz features Mohanlal in the lead role apart from directing. Billed as a 3D fantasy film, Barroz is scripted by Jijo Punnoose of My Dear Kuttichathan fame.

The makers started shooting in April 2021, but production got stalled due to the pandemic. The film eventually got completed by shooting across multiple schedules. The technical crew of Barroz includes cinematographer Santosh Sivan, production designer Santhosh Raman, and editor A Sreekar Prasad.

The film is set to hit the theatres on March 28.
