The trailer for Rekhachithram, headlined by Asif Ali, will be launched on December 24 at 10 am by veteran actor Mammootty. Alongside the announcement on Monday, the makers also released a new poster featuring Asif Ali and his co-star Anaswara Rajan. Unconfirmed reports suggest that the film revolves around an alternative history plot inspired by real-life events. Slated to hit theatres worldwide on January 9, it is directed by Jofin T Chacko, who made his directorial debut with the 2021 horror thriller The Priest, starring Mammootty and Manju Warrier.
The ensemble cast of Rekhachithram also includes Manoj K Jayan, Siddique, Indrans, Zarin Shihab, Bhama Arun, Megha Thomas, Nishanth Sagar, Harisree Ashokan, Sreekanth Murali, Sudhi Kopa, Priyanka, Jagadish, Saikumar, Nandu, Vijay Menon, TG Ravi, Sreejith Ravi and Pauly Wilson, among others. The film's screenplay is written by John Manthrikal, based on a story by Jofin and Ramu Sunil. On the technical front, it has cinematography by Appu Prabhakar, editing by Shameer Muhammed and music by Mujeeb Majeed, known for his work in Kishkindha Kaandam.
Rekhachithram is produced by Venu Kunnappilly under the banner of Kavya Film Company in association with Anto Joseph’s Ann Mega Media.
