World's first 3D Bible film titled Jesus and Mother Mary

The producer of the film Jesus and Mother Mary, Raphael Thomas Pozholiparambil launched its title poster through Pope Francis the other day in Vatican. Over 150 people from the world over attended the ceremony, in which the producer also presented Pope Francis with a 3D portrait of the Pope. Thomas Benjamin is directing the feature, billed as the first-ever 3D Bible film in the world. Chuck Comisky, best known as the visual effects supervisor for the James Cameron film Avatar, is also attached to the project for its 3D work. Makinarium, a company based in Britain and Italy, is leading the prosthetic makeup work for the film.

Raphael Film Production aims to make it as a big-budget film using the new possibilities of 3D technology. Raphael Thomas earlier backed the Manju Warrier-Tovino Thomas starrer Aami (2018). He is producing it through his namesake banner in Malayalam and multiple other languages, including English.

The co-producers of Jesus and Mother Mary comprise Qatar-based businessman Davis Edakkalathur and ten others from India and the UAE.
