On Sunday, the Aju Varghese-starrer Padakkuthira was launched with a pooja ceremony in Kochi. The upcoming film, expected to commence shooting soon, is directed by debutant Salon Symon and jointly scripted by Deepu S Nair and Sandeep Sadanadan. The makers also unveiled a first-look poster, featuring a fountain pen with a blood-stained nib, accompanied by the tagline, "Pen is mightier than sword."
In addition to Aju, Padakkuthira also stars Siddique, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Sija Rose, Indrans, Nandu Lal, Akhil Kavalayoor, Joemon Jyothir, Shameer, Dileep Menon, Kottayam Ramesh, Sminu Sijo, and Shaheen Siddique in prominent roles. On the technical side, the film’s crew includes cinematographer Jiju Sunny, editor Greyson A C A, and music directors Dhanush Harikumar and Vimaljith Vijayan. It is produced by Bini Sreejith, Manju I Sivanandan, and Sai Saravanan under the banners of Mabins Productions and Feel Flying Entertainments.
Aju was last seen in Jeethu Joseph's Nunakuzhi, alongside Basil Joseph and Grace Antony.
