Malayalee From India Teaser: Nivin Pauly gets caught in a precarious situation

The film is slated to release worldwide on May 1

On Monday, the makers of Malayalee From India released the teaser of the film. Slated to release worldwide on May 1, it is directed by Dijo Jose Antony and penned by Sharis Mohammed, the duo known for their work on Queen (2018) and Jana Gana Mana (2022).

In contrast to the promos and songs released previously, the teaser of Malayalee From India adopts a darker tone. It opens with a temple priest visibly possessed by Lord Muthappan, reminding a mother of the obligation to bring her elder son before the deity. Subsequently, the teaser shows Nivin's character in some kind of a precarious situation, which is paralleled to Abhimanyu from Mahabharatha caught in a Chakravyuh.

The film also features Anaswara Rajan, Dhyan Sreenivasan, Manju Pillai, Shine Tom Chacko, Salim Kumar, and Vijayakumar in prominent roles. It is produced by Nivin's Pauly Jr Pictures and Listin Stephen's Magic Frames. Malayalee From India's technical team includes cinematographer Sudeep Elamon and editor Sreejith Sarang.

Meanwhile, Nivin's upcoming slate includes Dear Students, alongside Nayanthara, a film with debutant director Aaryan Ramani Girijavallabhavan and a Tamil film Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai, directed by Ram. Additionally, he is also making his web series debut in Disney+ Hotstar's Pharma, directed by Finals-fame Arun PR.
