Nadikar teaser: An unhinged Tovino Thomas goes bonkers in film about a superstar

The teaser of director Lal Jr's Nadikar, starring Tovino Thomas in the lead role, is now out. The teaser shows Tovino's character, Superstar David Padikkal, in all his unhinged glory, as he eats a big piece of cake that barely fits into the palm of his hand, goes half naked, and does stunts reminiscent of his recent hit Thallumaala. The teaser also gives a brief idea of the world he occupies—with vanity vehicles, designer clothes, and debauchery. It hints at a film with plenty of action and humour, including industry in-jokes.

Earlier, the makers of Nadikar released a song from the film that shows a part of the backstory of Tovino's character and introduces him as Superstar David Padikkal. The film also stars Soubin Shahir, Bhavana, Suresh Krishna, Dhyan Sreenivasan, Balu Varghese, Ranjith, Indrans, and Chanthu.

It marks the directorial comeback of Lal Jr after three years. Suvin S Somasekharan is the screenwriter of the film, while Alby is its cinematographer, Ratheesh Raj its editor, and Kalai Kingson its action choregrapher. Naveen Yerneni, Y Ravi Shankar, Allan Antony, and Anoop Venugopal are producing the film, which seems to be a satire about the world of cinema.

Nadikar will release on May 3 this year.
