Empuraan update to be out on Mohanlal's birthday?

Empuraan, the much-anticipated Lucifer sequel, is gearing up to go on floors. As per reports, the film's shoot is set to begin next week in Tamil Nadu's Madurai. Meanwhile, it is also speculated that a new update on Empuraan will be out on May 21, Mohanlal's birthday.

Empuraan will have Mohanlal reprising his role from Lucifer, while Prithviraj Sukumaran and Murali Gopy will resume their roles as the director and writer, respectively. The makers have been involved in extensive pre-production work for the last few months. It included location scouting across various states in India and abroad. While Lucifer was produced by Aashirvad Cinemas alone, the banner will reportedly be collaborating with Hombale Films for Empuraan's production.

Besides Empuraan, a few other exciting updates are expected on Mohanlal's birthday. The superstar has Malaikottai Valiban, Ram, and Barroz in different stages of production.
