When MG Sreekumar captured AR Rahman, MM Keeravani, and Rajamani in one frame

Earlier in the day, veteran playback singer MG Sreekumar took to social media to share a priceless photo from the music recording session of Priyadarshan's 1986 film Thalavattam. The photo taken at Chennai's AVM RR Studio, features Rajamani, one of the composers of the film, his assistant MM Keeravani, and a young AR Rahman, on the keyboard.

Along with sharing the photo, MG Sreekumar also congratulated Keeravani on his recent Golden Globe win. The veteran bagged the prestigious honour for The Best Original Song for composing Naatu Naatu from AR Rahman.

Keeravani, who composed under the name Maragathamani, has composed for many Malayalam films in the 90s including Neelagiri, Sooryamaanasam, and Devaragam. Similarly, AR Rahman, before turning independent, also worked in many Malayalam films under the guidance of composers like Rajamani, MK Arjunan and Ouseppachan.
