We had earlier reported about Asif Ali reuniting with B Tech director Mridul Nair for a mass entertainer titled Kasargold. On the occasion of Asif's birthday, the makers shared a motion poster via Dulquer Salmaan's social media handle. The video introduces the three leads— Asif, Sunny Wayne and Vinayakan. Deepak Parambol and Malavika Sreenath also star in it.

Kasargold, according to the makers, is a high-octane thriller woven around gold smuggling. It is centered around a bunch of friends and how greed changes the dynamics of their bonding. Earlier while speaking to us about the film, Asif had spoken about his high hopes on it. According to him, it's a complete commercial package that will offer a proper theatre experience.

While the film has its story by director Mridul Nair, he has penned the screenplay and dialogues along with Malayankunju director Sajimon Prabhakar. Vishnu Vijay and Niranj Suresh have composed the songs, while the background score is handled by the former alone. Jebin Jacob is the cinematographer and edits are done by Manoj Kannoth.

Kasargold is backed by Yoodlee Films in association with Mukhari Entertainment LLP.
