Nadigarthilagam Sivaji Samooganala Peravai, one of the fan clubs dedicated to the memory of Nadigar Thilagam Sivaji Ganeshan, has requested the Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes (AMMA) to change the title of Tovino Thomas' upcoming Nadikar Thilakam. In their letter to the association, they expressed their displeasure at using the title for a comedy film that would "deliberately tarnish the legacy of an ideal hero".
Directed by Lal Jr and produced by Naveen Yerneni, Y Ravi Shankar, Allan Antony, and Anoop Venugopal under the banners of Mythri Movie Makers and Godspeed, the big-budget project has Tovino playing an actor named David Padikkal dealing with personal and professional crises. Soubin plays the other male lead, while Bhavana is the female lead.
The rest of the cast comprises Dhyan Sreenivasan, Anoop Menon, Shine Tom Chacko, Lal, Balu Varghese, Suresh Krishna, Renjith, Indrans, Madhupal, Ganapathy, Divya Pillai, and Dinesh Prabhakar, among others.
Penned by Suvin S Somaseskharan, Nadikar Thilakam has Alby as the director of photography and Ratheesh Raj as the editor. Yakzan Gary Pereira and Neha Nair are composing the music, with production design by Prasanth Madhav.
