A Malayalam film titled Monica: Oru AI Story, directed by EM Ashraf, is said to be exploring the theme of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
American-born social media influencer and entrepreneur Aparna Mulberry leads the film, which revolves around her portrayal of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI), a concept at the forefront of futuristic technology. Unlike traditional AI robots, AGIs possess astonishingly human-like abilities, making them all the more intriguing.
As per the makers, the film has been acknowledged by the official AI-related website of India, Indiaai.gov.in - a platform that etches significant moments in the nation's AI development.
The script of the movie is written by director E M Ashraf and Producer Mansoor Palloor, with Subin Edappakat as co-producer and KP Sreesan as executive producer.
Najeem Arshad and Yar Bash Bachu have sung the lyrics written by Prabha Verma with music by Yunuseo. The background music of the film is by Ronnie Raphael. Raju George composed an English song, and Mansoor Palloor the promo song.
The rest of the cast includes Gopinath Muthukad, Malikappuram-fame Sreepad, Sini Abraham, Manikanthan, Kannur Sreelatha, EM Ashraf and Mansoor Palloor.
Sajeesh Raj cranked the camera while Hari G Nair handled the editing. Haridas Bakulam worked on the art, and Vijesh is in charge of the VFX. The film is slated for a December release.
