Leo director Lokesh Kanagaraj injured during theatre visit in Kerala

As the Vijay-starrer Leo continues its record-breaking run at the box office, its director Lokesh Kanagaraj was in Kerala on Tuesday for the film's promotions. Though the director had planned to visit theatres in three districts, he had to cut short his trip after suffering a leg injury at Aroma theatre in Palakkad. Lokesh got injured when he was caught in a commotion at the theatre which saw an unprecedented rush. Police officials had to resort to lathi-charge to disperse the swelling crowd.

Lokesh, who was taken to a nearby private hospital, was discharged immediately as it was a minor injury. After heading straight to his home in Coimbatore, he shared a brief note on social media expressing his gratitude to the people of Kerala. He also promised to return soon.

As per trade experts, Kerala is one of the best-performing regions for Leo. It has already registered several new records, which includes becoming the biggest opener for any language in the state. Gokulam Gopalan's Sree Gokulam Movies has released the film in Kerala.
