Neeraja trailer promises a heartfelt take on life and marriage 

The makers of the upcoming Malayalam film Neeraja released the trailer of the film on Sunday. The film stars Sruthi Ramachandran as the titular character. Written and directed by Rajesh K Raman, who earlier scripted the Jayasurya-starrer Shakespeare MA Malayalam (2008) and Sunny Wayne's Saaradhi (2015), the film will hit the theatres on May 19.

The trailer showcases two parallel stories of Neeraja, a widow, and a married couple played by Jinu Joseph and Srinda. The trailer opens by showcasing the intimate moments between Neeraj and her husband, played by Govind Padmasoorya. Later we learn that Neeraja has lost her husband and is struggling to cope with the loss amid the constant judgment around the surroundings. When Neeraja laments with love for her deceased husband, we see Jinu Joseph and Srinda in a loveless marriage, showcasing both ends frustrated in different aspects. And the trailer also showcases these two stories crossing paths with each other.
