Prithviraj to join Guruvayur Ambala Nadayil team in August

Guruvayur Ambala Nadayil, starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Basil Joseph as the leads, got launched recently at the Guruvayur temple with a customary pooja ceremony. The film, helmed by Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey director Vipin Das, will be shot in two schedules. While the first leg of the shoot has been planned till June end, the second schedule will begin in August.

Basil is set to start shooting for the film on May 15, while Prithviraj will join the team only for the second schedule. Others in the cast include Tamil actor Yogi Babu, Nikhila Vimal, Anaswara Rajan, Jagadish, Rekha, Romancham-fame Siju Sunny, Irshad, Kunhikrishnan and Manoj KU.

Guruvayur Ambala Nadayil, scripted by Kunjiramayanam-fame Deepu Pradeep, is said to be a fun entertainer centered around the events that occur during a wedding in Guruvayur. Prithviraj is reportedly playing a character with negative shades in the film. Ankit Menon is the music director, and Neeraj Revi debuting as a cinematographer. 

Backed jointly by Prithviraj Productions and E4 Entertainment, the film is confirmed as an April 2024 release.
