We earlier reported that Prithviraj Sukumaran and Basil Joseph are set to act together for the first time in Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey director Vipin Das' next, Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil.

The latest update is that the makers have commenced the film's production. The film also marks Yogi Babu's debut in Malayalam.

Kunjiramayanam-fame Deepu Pradeep is scripting the film, which is backed jointly by Prithviraj Productions and E4 Entertainment. Prithviraj announced the project by sharing a brief note in social media. He also hinted that it's a full-on fun entertainer.

Meanwhile, Prithviraj has Vilayath Buddha and the pan-Indian biggie Salaa, the Hindi film Bade Miyan Chotte Miyan, which has Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff as the leads. Kaaliyan, Tyson, and Khalifa are in the pipeline. Besides his acting commitments, Prithviraj will also be starting work on his much-hyped directorial Empuraan. 

And Basil Joseph, last seen in Kadina Kadoramee Andakadaham, will be next seen in Ajayante Randam Moshanam. The Minnal Murali director is also in talks to direct Fahadh Faasil next.
