The upcoming Malayalam film L2: Empuraan, the sequel to the hit film Lucifer starring Mohanlal and directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, has been generating much buzz ever since its announcement. It is considered to be one of the most ambitious projects in the Malayalam film industry. Currently, the film is in the pre-production stage, and the producer Antony Perumbavoor has released a video announcing that location scouting is currently underway
The video, which was released on Twitter, features the director Prithviraj along with a few of the crew members in search of locations.
Apart from directing Empuraan, Prithviraj has an interesting lineup of releases as an actor, including Blessy's Aadujeevitham, Vilayath Buddha, Prashanth Neel's Salaar with Prabhaas, and Bade Miya Chote Miya opposite Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff.
Meanwhile, Mohanlal has a slew of films on the line, including Lijo Jose Pellissery's directorial Malaikottai Vaaliban and Jeethu Joseph's Ram.
