Actor Prithviraj, who recently underwent a keyhole surgery due to injuries sustained while filming for his upcoming Malayalam film Vilayath Buddha, has been discharged from hospital. In a statement, the hospital authorities said the actor received treatment for reconstruction and repair of cartilage, cruciate ligament and meniscus injuries. He also underwent a comprehensive physiotherapy regimen to aid in his recovery, and is expected to make a full recovery within the next few months.
On Tuesday, Prithviraj shared a social media note to update his fans on his health along with expressing his gratitude for their good wishes. He also added that he would try his best to use the time constructively and promised to fight through the pain to recover fully and get back into action soon.
Prithviraj's unfortunate injury is expected to force a change in plans for his upcoming projects. Reportedly, he was planning to fly to the US on July 2 for the pre-production of his much-hyped directorial Empuraan. The injury is also likely to delay the completion of Vilayath Buddha and the Vipin Das directorial Guruvayoor Ambala Nadayil.
