Prithviraj shares health update post injury

Earlier, we had reported that actor Prithviraj Sukumaran underwent Keyhole surgery due to injuries sustained while filming his upcoming Malayalam film, Vilayath Buddha. On Tuesday, the actor shared a message on his social media handles to update his fans on his health and express his gratitude for their good wishes.

The statement the actor shared reads," Hello! So yes, I had an accident while shooting an action sequence for Vilayath Buddha. Fortunately, I'm in the hands of experts who performed a keyhole surgery, and I'm now recouping. It's rest and physiotherapy ahead for a couple of months. Will try my best to use that time constructively, and I promise to fight through the pain to recover fully and get back into action asap. Thank you to all those who love reached out and expressed concern and love."

Prithviraj's unfortunate injury is expected to force a change in plans for his upcoming projects. Reportedly, he was planning to fly to the US on July 2 for the pre-production of his much-hyped directorial Empuraan. The injury is also likely to delay the completion of Vilayath Buddha and the Vipin Das directorial Guruvayoor Ambala Nadayil.

One of the busiest actors in Indian cinema, Prithviraj has been working on multiple films simultaneously, including some of the biggest and most-anticipated films in the country. While he is part of Prashanth Neel's Salaar, starring Prabhas, Prithviraj will also be seen in Hindi projects like Bade Miyaan Chote Miyaan, co-starring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff and Kajol's next.

Meanwhile, he is also awaiting the release of his much-anticipated Aadujeevitham.
