Nithin Renji Panicker's web series to go on floors soon

Director Nithin Renji Panicker, who earlier made Kasaba and Kaaval, will next helm a web series for Disney+Hotstar. Starring Suraj Venjaramoodu in the lead, its shoot is set to begin on June 16 in Kannur. Scripted and produced by Nithin himself, this upcoming series is set in late 70s. Unlike Nithin's feature films, the series will reportedly be high on comedy.  

Kalabhavan Shajohn, Grace Antony, Shwetha Menon, Niranjana Anoop, Kani Kusruti, Janardhanan, Pramod Veliyanad, Alphy Panjikaran and Prashanth Alexander also star in it. National award winner Nikhil S Praveen, who also shot Nithin's Kaaval, will handle the cinematography.

Meanwhile, Disney+Hotstar has three other Malayalam web series coming up. Their maiden Malayalam series Kerala Crime Files is an investigative thriller directed by Ahammed Khabeer. Starring Aju Varghese and Lal as the leads, it gearing up for its premiere this month.

Debutant Praveen Chandran is helming another series with Sunny Wayne and Nikhila Vimal. The third show in the making is 1000+ Babies starring Rahman and Neena Gupta. It is directed by Najeem Koya and produced by August Cinema.
