Kunchacko Boban's new film Padmini is set for release on July 7. The makers shared the first video song from the film recently. Sung by Sachin Warrier and composed by Jakes Bejoy, it is a fun song which sees Kunchacko Boban turning back the clock to his romantic hero days.
The song opens with a scene in a library, an obvious throwback to the iconic scene in his debut film, Aniyathipravu. In the song titled Padminiye, his character Rameshan Thazhathu is seen befriending his colleague, played by Madonna Sebastian. Earlier the makers had released a teaser which introduces him as someone looking for a potential partner in life. Apart from Madonna, the film also has Aparna Balamurali and Vincy Aloshious as the female leads.
Padmini is directed by Senna Hegde and scripted by Kunjiramayanam-fame Deepu Pradeep. The film also stars Malavika Menon, Althaf Salim, Sajin Cherukayil, Anand Manmadhan, Ganapathy, Seema G Nair, Gokulan, James Elia and Jayakumar Parameswaran Pillai. Sreeraj Raveendran, who shot Senna's last two films, Thinkalazhcha Nishchayam and 1744 White Alto, is the cinematographer and Jakes Bejoy handles the music.
The film is produced by Prasobh Krishna and Suvin K Varkey under the banner of Little Big Films.
