In the wake of circulating news about the decision to prohibit online media channels from taking audience feedback from theatres on the first day of release and discussions concerning one's right to exercise one's freedom of expression, filmmaker B Unnikrishnan has clarified that no such decision has been taken yet.

In a statement to Asianet News, the director whose latest feature, the Mammootty-starrer Christopher, hits theatres this week, added that it was a move to damage his movie. "Official bodies like the exhibitors association and FEFKA haven't decided on this yet. Someone cooked up this fake news to cause damage to Christopher as it inched closer to its release day," he said.

Christopher, releasing on Feb 9, also stars Vinay Rai, Sneha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Amala Paul, Sarath Kumar, and Shine Tom Chacko, among others.
