The best part of KOK is the working experience: Aishwarya Lekshmi

Actor Aishwarya Lekshmi, who was last seen in Ponniyin Selvan 2, will be next appearing in the upcoming Malayalam film King of Kotha. The actor, who will be portraying the role of Tara, spoke about working in the film, which also stars Dulquer Salmaan.

“There are many characters with each having its own importance. But a character’s importance does not rely only on its screen time, but about the weight the actions of the character gets within the storyline and the differences it would bring, had the role is written off or not. None of the characters are anything less than being crucial,” the actor said to the media, while talking about the multi-starrer.

King of Kotha also stars Prasanna, Chemban Vinod, Dancing Rose Shabeer, Anikha Surendran, among others. “The best part of KOK is the working experience and it felt like working with friends on a serious project. We were as much as focused as one would be working in the Chandrayaan mission,” Aishwarya added.

On how female actors have transcended boundaries and languages for films and with the pan Indian phenomena, Aishwarya said, "Like any other actor, if you give them the right instructions and communication, I believe like any other actor, heroines will also function and generate so much adoration among audience along with curiosity for the movies they are part of. I truly adore Rashmika Mandanna or Samantha Ruth Prabhu, we are seeing one song or film or anything that they are part of and worked hard for, they get the deserving attention. I believe it is time for every actor to shine.”

King of Kotha is scheduled to hit the theatres on Thursday. The film is directed by Abhilash Joshiy in his directorial debut. The film is backed by Wayfarer Films and Zee Studio.
