Shane Nigam's Corona Papers streaming date out

After a lukewarm run in theatres, Shane Nigam-starter Corona Papers is set to have its OTT release on Disney + Hotstar on May 5. The Priyadarshan directorial, which hit screens on April 6, is the official remake of the Tamil film, 8 Thottakkal. Priyadarshan adapted the script based on the story penned by original director Sri Ganesh.

While Shane Nigam plays the lead role of a cop in Corona Papers, Gayathrie Shankar is paired opposite him. Shine Tom Chacko, Jean Paul Lal, Sandhya Shetty, PP Kunhikrishnan, Maniyanpilla Raju, and Vijilesh also star in it. Vineeth Sreenivasan also makes a cameo appearance. Bankrolled by Four Frames Sound Company, the technical team of Corona Papers include cinematographer Divakar Mani and editor Ayyappan.

Meanwhile, Shane Nigam finds himself in a quagmire after a joint decision by the Kerala film bodies to not associate with him and fellow actor, Sreenath Bhasi. It is alleged that Shane made unacceptable demands to the makers of his upcoming film, RDX, and was uncooperative during its shoot. Dismissing the accusations, Shane has approached the actor's body AMMA seeking intervention. A letter he mailed to AMMA officials leaked online and is currently going the rounds on social media.
