We know that actor Fahadh Faasil is collaborating with Kannada filmmaker Pawan Kumar for an upcoming multilingual in Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam, and Telugu titled Dhoomam. On Sunday, the makers announced that the film's first look poster would be released on April 17, 10.45 am.
Earlier reports suggested that the film is eyeing a summer release this year. The film is backed by Hombale Films, the production house that backed the KGF films and the recently-released Kannada sensation Kantara.
Meanwhile, Pawan Kumar is noted for helming acclaimed Kannada films like Lucia and U Turn. For the last few years, the director has been in talks with actors like Ganesh, Dhananjay, and Rakshit Shetty for an ambitious project titled C10H14N2 (the chemical formula of Nicotine), but nothing materialiased. Reportedly, Dhoomam is the revival of the same project. While Fahadh plays the lead, the film also stars Roshan Mathew and Aparna Balamurali in pivotal roles.
Pawan Kumar's regular collaborator Poornachandra Tejaswi is composing the music while Preetha Jayaraman handles the cinematography.
