Jayasurya's Kathanar launched

We had earlier reported about Jayasurya starring in an ambitious film based on the Kadamattathu Kathanar legend. Rojin Thomas of Home-fame is directing the film, which got launched on Wednesday with a customary pooja ceremony. This big-scale project is backed by Sree Gokulam Movies.

R Ramanand is scripting Kathanar, which is based on the tales of a Kerala priest of the same name who was believed to possess supernatural powers. 

As announced earlier by the makers, it will be a two-part 3D fantasy epic that will be shot using virtual production, a filmmaking technique used in Hollywood films like Avatar, Ready Player One, and Lion King.
