Nyla Usha joins Dulquer Salmaan in King of Kotha

Shoot for Dulquer Salmaan's new film King of Kotha commenced on Monday near Madurai in Tamil Nadu.The film marks the directorial debut of Abhilash Joshiy, who is the son of veteran filmmaker Joshiy. Abhilash N Chandran has penned the script.

Billed as a gangster drama, King of Kotha will have Aishwarya Lekshmi as the female lead. Nyla Usha is the latest to join the cast. The actor was last seen in Joshiy's Paappan, in which Abhilash worked as the creative director. She was also one of the leads in writer Abhilash N Chandran's Porinju Mariam Jose. Though this is the first time Nyla will be sharing screen with Dulquer, she has acted with his father in multiple films like Kunjanathante Kada, Gangster and Fireman.

There are also talks about Shanthi Krishna, Gokul Suresh, and Sarpatta Parambarai-fame Shabeer Kallarakkal playing important roles in King of Kotha, but the makers are yet to confirm it.

Nimish Ravi, who shot Dulquer Salmaan's Kurup and Mammootty's upcoming film Rorschach, is the cinematographer for King of Kotha. It is backed by Dulquers' home production, Wayfarer Films.
