Aishwarya Lekshmi-starrer Kumari is all set to hit the theatres on October 28. With just one day left for the release, the film's presenter Prithviraj Sukumaran shared an anecdote about how this project took off. He noted that the film is "extremely well made and spectacularly shot."

In a video byte, he said, "Around one and a half years ago, my friend, director and screenwriter Nirmal Sahadev came home and narrated three stories. And among them, I chose Kumari, and I was the one who insisted he makes this film. How long has it been since we heard such a story? This film can be called a modern adaptation of grandmother's stories. It is an interesting horror fantasy thriller. As part of Prithviraj Productions, I am happy to be associated with Kumari. Please watch the film with your family in the theatres."

The film's director Nirmal Sahadev is also co-producing the film with actor Giju John, Jakes Bejoy and Sreejith Sarang under the banner of their newly launched production company, The Fresh Lime Sodas. The film also features Shine Tom Chacko, Swasika, Surabhi Lakshmi, Tanvi Ram, Shivajith Padmanabhan, and Shruthy Menon.

According to reports, the fictional story is inspired by folklore. Newcomer Abraham Joseph lensed it while Jakes Bejoy handled the music department. Sreejith Sarang is editing the film with sound design by Sachin Sudhakaran.
