Murali Gopy pens a heartfelt note on turning a composer with Theerppu

Murali Gopy has carved a niche for himself as an actor and as a scenarist. He is now debuting as a music director with arrangement Theerppu, which he is also scripting. Along with releasing Raavil, the first single from the film, Murali penned a heartfelt note on his urge to make music and how it is being finally fulfilled. He has written,

"Though unschooled, the urge to make music has always been an integral part of my creative scape. There always had been this primordial whistler within me, who’d invent tunes and beatbox them in the absolute privateness of being.

It is pure happenstance that I am finally and officially directing music, and to me, it is nothing less than a miracle, and nothing more than providence giving a turbo thrust to a very deep wish. Am full of gratitude, as with every other chance given, for this opportunity."

Murali also thanked director Rathish Ambat, singer Sayanora Philip and Gopi Sundar, who helped him with the musical arrangements.

"I wish to thank my dear friend and director Rathish Ambat, who encouraged me to debut with THEERPPU. I also thank dear Sayanora Phillip for gracing my first song with her most expressive rendition.

On a special note, I thank my dear friend, the inimitable Gopi Sunder, for the impeccable arrangement support, during the making of the song. Every recording with him, ever since my association with him both as a writer and as a singer, has been a lesson for me towards this effort."

Theerpu stars Prithviraj, Indrajith, Hannah Reji Koshiy, Isha Talwar, Vijay Babu and Saiju Kurup in main roles. The film is set to hit screens on August 25.
