Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey (JJJJH), which has turned out to be a sensational hit, has crossed the Rs 25 crore mark at the box office. The film achieved this commendable feat within just 11 days of its release in Kerala and GCC. It is set to have its rest of India release from this Friday.
JJJJH is directed by Vipin Das, who last made the thriller, Antakshari. He has also co-written the film with Nashid Mohamed Famy. Starring Basil Joseph and Darshana Rajendran, JJJJH is a hilarious satire on patriarchal households and abusive marriages. The film has won unanimously positive response among the critics as well as the general audience. Many have rated the film as a funnier version of The Great Indian Kitchen. Interestingly, both the films explore similar issues but are totally contrasting in terms of their treatment and tonality.
Darshana and Basil play a married couple in the film. It also stars Anand Manmadhan, Kudassanad Kanakam, Aju Varghese, Azees Nedumangad, Sudheer Paravoor, Manju Pillai, and Noby Marcose among others.
JJJJH is shot by cinematographer Bablu Aju and edited by John Kutty. Ankit Menon has composed the music. It is produced by Lakshmi Warrier and Ganesh Menon under the banner of Cheers Entertainments.
