Tovino's Vazhakk screening ends up in a brawl at IFFK

Tovino Thomas-starrer Vazhakk, directed by award-winning filmmaker Sanal Kumar Sasidharan, had its premiere on Sunday at the ongoing IFFK in Thiruvananthapuram. The venue witnessed some unruly scenes after a brawl broke out between delegates and organisers. It is alleged that many who had not reserved seats through prior online booking were allowed to attend the theatre.

As per reports, a huge crowd had gathered in front of the Ariesplex theatre after they learned that Tovino would be attending the screening of Vazhakk. Following this, a large number of people took to the unreserved seats queue for watching the film. It eventually lead to an altercation when people who had actually reserved their seats were not allowed to enter the screening.

Vazhakk has Tovino playing an advocate named Sidharthan. Kani Kusruti, Sudev Nair and Azeez Nedumangad also star in the film. Besides directing, Sanal Kumar Sasidharan has handled the scripting, editing, and film's sound design. It has cinematography by Chandru Selvaraj and music by Prithvi Chandrasekhar.
