Bigg Boss Kannada Season 13 witnessed a series of changes over the weekend, with an Emergency Exit, a return, two evictions and three wild card entries.
The season had already taken an unexpected turn earlier in the week with the introduction of the ‘Emergency Exit’ twist. Thandav Ram was sent out of the house after the vote-cutting advantage came into play, leaving Gagan Chinnappa and a few others visibly upset. However, Thandav has since returned to the house, adding another turn to the proceedings.
The weekend then saw Avinash Shatamarshan and Vaishnavi Koundinya exit the show. Their eviction was announced by host Kichcha Sudeep on Saturday, before the Sunday episode introduced three new contestants as wild cards: Ganavi Gowda, Prashanth Gowda and Sonika Gowda.
Ganavi Gowda, popularly known as Ghati Ganavi, was the first runner-up of Zee Kannada’s reality show Halli Power. She also has experience in television and has built a following through her digital presence.
Prashanth Gowda, known for his appearances across three seasons of Gicchi Gili Gili, has also been part of shows such as Boys vs Girls and Kwatle Kitchen, which he won.
Sonika Gowda, who has worked in modelling and films, has featured in Shathaya Gathaya, Naane Raja and Khushi Khushiyagi.
The three contestants did not wait until they entered the house to reveal their game plans. Ganavi Gowda named Manju as her first target, while Sonika Gowda questioned Soundarya Shetty’s initial don-like persona and Gagan Chinnappa’s Ravana-like energy from the early weeks. She also took aim at Aasiya Firdose, accusing her of using the victim card when confronted.
The three wild card entries come after a week of considerable movement inside the house. With Ganavi Gowda, Prashanth Gowda and Sonika Gowda now joining the existing contestants, the latest additions are likely to bring new equations to the Bigg Boss Kannada 13 house.
