Bigg Boss Kannada 13: In an unprecedented turn of events, actor Prathama Prasad has been eliminated from the reality show in the first week without getting an opportunity to enter the main Bigg Boss house. She becomes the first contestant in the show's history to face eviction without stepping into the main house.
Prathama was among the contestants nominated for the first-week elimination along with Kiran Shastry, Vaishnavi Kaundinya, Avinash and Dhanush. After receiving the least number of votes, she was eliminated from the show and was awarded a cash prize of Rs 3 lakh.
Speaking to host Kichcha Sudeep, after her eviction, an emotional Prathama recalled her journey in the entertainment industry and the love she has received from Kannada audiences. “My beloved Kannada audience has given me immense love for the last 15 years. I have explored different fields, including dance and acting, but Bigg Boss was truly a very special platform for me,” she said.
During the opening episode, Sudeep had asked Prathama about the biggest challenge she expected to face inside the house. She had said that dealing with people who refuse to listen while she is trying to put across her point could be difficult for her.
Prathama is the daughter of veteran actor Vinaya Prasad. While she takes pride in being recognised as Vinaya Prasad’s daughter, she has also spoken about her efforts to establish an identity of her own in the entertainment industry.
“I am an actor, dancer, swimmer and a mother. When people recognise me as Vinaya Prasad’s daughter, I feel extremely proud and happy. But when some people ask what I have achieved on my own, it hurts a little,” Prathama said on the show.
Prathama, who grew up in an artistic environment, is a trained Kathak dancer and has performed at several events in India and abroad. She made her television debut as a host with Sai to Dance Season 2 before taking on the lead role in Bombeyatavayya. She subsequently appeared in popular serials including Devi, Amruthavarshini and Karimani.
Her entry into Bigg Boss Kannada 13 came soon after the conclusion of Karimani and had surprised her fans. However, her first-week exit, without even entering the main house, has come as a major disappointment for her followers.
