Popular Telugu actor Naga Mahesh is set to make his Kannada debut with director R Chandru’s Original Monster (OM), which stars Shivarajkumar in the lead.
Directed and produced by R Chandru, the film is presented by Bollywood producer Anand Pandit and backed by RC Studios. The project brings together actors and technicians from across industries, with Shivarajkumar in the titular role and Telugu actor Sunil also part of the cast.
The Kannada-Hindi bilingual recently went on floors with a muhurat ceremony in Bengaluru. The film also marks Shivarajkumar’s Hindi debut. Naga Mahesh now joins Sunil, making it another Telugu presence in the cast.
Naga Mahesh has made a mark in Telugu cinema with his performances in films such as Rangasthalam, Uppena and Akhanda. He will now be introduced to Kannada audiences in a new role, though details about his character are being kept under wraps.
The project marks Naga Mahesh’s first collaboration with Chandru and Shivarajkumar. His addition, along with Sunil’s presence, adds to the film’s multi-industry cast.
Original Monster features Shivarajkumar in the titular role and is being mounted on a large scale. More actors from multiple industries to add to its cast are expected to be revealed as production progresses.
