Ganesh AKA Golden Mega Star's upcoming film, Brindavihari is set to release worldwide on October 16, coinciding with Dasara. The film reunites Ganesh and director Srinivasa Raju after the success of Krishnam Pranaya Sakhi and is produced by Mulbagal MLA Samruddhi V Manjunath. Ganesh plays Madhava, a character rooted in innocence, emotion and relationships. “Whatever audiences expect from me is in this film. Bringing emotion, humour and relationships together was challenging, but Srinivasa Raju has extracted good work from everyone. This is Ganesh's pure Kannada film, and families can watch it together during Dasara,” he said.
Samruddhi V Manjunath is planning a worldwide release across 1,300 screens, with KVN Productions handling distribution. Addressing the decision to release alongside Jailer 2, he said, “Several producers asked why we were releasing at the same time. I told them I have the confidence that it will succeed.” He also recalled knowing Ganesh through cricket before bringing him on board as the lead. For Srinivasa Raju, the film has been a particularly satisfying experience. “Even if I do not make another film with Ganesh, I am fine with that. He is the real hero of this film and has performed brilliantly,” he said.
Malavika Sharma, making her Kannada debut, plays Meera, a devotee of Krishna. “I have been given a role I have never played before, with importance given to performance. Everyone treated me like family,” she said. Debutant Devika Bhat also spoke about the support she received from the team. Hesham Abdul Wahab, making his Kannada debut, has composed the songs for the film. “I liked his work in Kushi, and he has given us good songs for our film too,” said Samruddhi. Veteran actor Rangayana Raghu added that the film features hundreds of artistes and is designed as a family entertainer.
