The team behind the upcoming Koragajja unveiled its trailer during the world-renowned Mysuru Dasara Jamboo Savari procession, right in front of a massive gathering of lakhs near Bannimantap.
According to the makers, this marks the first time in the 416-year history of the Mysuru Jamboo Savari—a tradition traced back to 1610 AD—that a dedicated tableau for a feature film was permitted to roll through the royal procession route.
The tableau was part of the state’s grand Dasara celebrations, organized with private partnership initiatives. With the cultural prominence and rich heritage of Tulunadu taking center stage, the tableau was designed around the folklore of the revered deity Koragajja. Moving along the parade route, the float was accompanied by the rhythmic anthem "Tulunadu kangolisuthide... Karunada kampinali...", catching the attention of the massive crowds lining the streets.
Out of the 52 to 53 cultural and departmental tableaux featured in the grand parade, the Koragajja float secured a prime spot, cruising in close proximity to the golden Ambari. The celebration culminated near Bannimantap, where director Sudhir Attavar formally launched the trailer alongside members of the film's cast and technical team. The event saw the presence of veteran actors Kabir Bedi, Meenakshi Seshadri, and Bhavya, alongside producer Trivikrama Sapalya, executive producer and editor Vidyadhar Shetty, and entrepreneur-dancer U T Zulfikar, who came together to mark the occasion. Mounted as a large-scale multilingual production, Koragajja has been shot in 3D to bring coastal Karnataka's sacred Daivaradhane tradition to the big screen on an expansive canvas.
