The upcoming film starring Komal Kumar in the lead role, with Sonal Monteiro as the female lead and Vinod Prabhakar in a special appearance, is gearing up for its theatrical release. Directed by Srinivas Mandya and produced by Ambati Madhu Mohan under the banner of Madhu Film Circuits, the project has officially altered its identity, changing its title from Rolex to Relax.
Addressing the media regarding the unexpected change, producer Ambati Madhu Mohan and director Srinivas Mandya explained that a well-known global corporation had issued a legal notice warning against using the title Rolex or any phonetically similar variations. Although the filmmakers firmly clarified that their film contains no elements associated with the corporation that sent the notice, they chose a practical path.
With the film heading straight towards distribution and release, the team noted they simply had no time to waste fighting a prolonged title dispute. Believing that strong, engaging content holds far more value than a name and confident it will win over audiences, they decided to rename the feature Relax.
Ever since its inception, the project has generated a certain curiosity, because of the film's title, and its official teaser has already garnered praise that far exceeded expectations.
The technical and creative crew boasts notable talent. The film features four melodic tracks composed by Jesse Gift, complemented by a compelling background score by Nandu of KGF fame. Rakesh C Tilak handles the cinematography, while Arvind Raj manages the editing.
