Director R Chandru has completed shooting the first schedule of his upcoming directorial venture Original Monster (OM), starring Shivarajkumar in the lead role. The film is produced under the RC Studios banner following the director’s pan-India release Kabzaa.
Marking R Chandru’s return to direction after a gap of two and a half years, Original Monster is being produced simultaneously in Kannada and Hindi. The project is presented by Anand Pandit and produced by Yamuna Chandru. Prior to the commencement of filming, the title launch event was held in Mumbai, followed by a formal muhurat in Bengaluru.
The initial leg of production was carried out on lavish sets set in Bengaluru and concluded according to the planned schedule. Shiva Rajkumar, Telugu actor Sunil, and several other cast members participated in the shoot. Following the wrap of this phase, the production team has begun preparations for the second schedule.
Original Monster reunites Shivarajkumar and R Chandru, who earlier collaborated on the commercially successful film Mylari. Shivarajkumar also made a special appearance in Chandru's Kabzaa.
On the technical crew, B Ajaneesh Loknath is composing the music for the film, while AJ is handling cinematography. Chandru has stated that the film will feature popular artists across regional languages, with further details regarding the cast and production to be revealed in the coming days.
