Hayagrriva was released in theatres on February 27 and, after completing its theatrical run, the Kannada thriller has now started streaming on Prime Video. Produced by Padma Samruddhi Manjunath under the KVC Productions banner and presented by Virat Sai Creations, the film is directed by debutant Raghukumar OR.
Hayagrriva opens with a premise that immediately sets it apart from the conventional crime-thriller format. Instead of unfolding within a familiar investigative backdrop, the story introduces a slightly futuristic world centred around a medical mafia network. This backdrop becomes the foundation for a narrative that blends science, crime, and myth-inspired visual ideas, giving the film a distinct space within the genre.
At the heart of the story is Dhanveerrah as Arjun Hayagrriva, a police officer leading the investigation into a series of disturbing cases connected to this underground system.
Sanjana Anand plays the female lead, adding emotional grounding to the film, while the supporting cast includes Sadhu Kokila, Ravishankar, Sharath Lohitashwa, Rangayana Raghu, and Shruthi in key roles.
With its theatrical run complete, the film’s digital release gives it an opportunity to reach a broader audience beyond cinemas.
