Kannada film and television dialogue writer TG Nandish passed away due to a cardiac arrest in Shivamogga district, at the age of 37. A native of Maluru village in Thirthahalli taluk, Nandish had established himself as a respected writer in the Kannada entertainment industry through his work across films, television serials and independent storytelling platforms.

According to reports, Nandish complained of severe chest pain late on Tuesday. On the way to a hospital in Thirthahalli, the writer passed away. The sudden news of his passing has shocked members of the Kannada film and television fraternity, many of whom remembered him as a grounded and passionate creative voice.

Nandish was known for his emotionally rooted writing style and had contributed dialogues and story ideas to several Kannada projects. He gained recognition for his work in the critically noted film Ondanke Kaadu, released in 2023, and had also worked on projects including Doordarshan along with multiple television serials. Before entering screenwriting full-time, he was associated with the Kannada film magazine Chitthara, where he built close connections within the industry.

Apart from his professional work, Nandish had developed a following on social media through his reflective writings shared under the title “Nandi Writes.” His posts, often centered on life, relationships and human emotion, resonated with readers and added to his identity beyond cinema.

Colleagues and friends from the industry took to social media to mourn his death, remembering him as a sincere writer with a deep love for storytelling. He is survived by his wife and two children.
