After generating strong conversation since its release in Karnataka, KD: The Devil is now preparing for its Telugu theatrical debut. KVN Productions officially confirmed that the Telugu dubbed version will arrive in theatres on May 15 through Mythri Movie Makers. Sharing the update on social media, the production house wrote, “The love from Karnataka was unforgettable. Now we are excited to share KD: The Devil with Telugu audiences."

Directed by Prem, the film was originally conceived as a multilingual action spectacle planned across Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi. However, delays related to certification and dubbing processes meant that only the Kannada version reached theatres initially. With the Telugu release now locked, the makers appear keen to continue the film’s theatrical journey beyond Karnataka and strengthen its visibility in other southern markets.

Headlined by Dhruva Sarja, KD arrived with heavy anticipation driven by its large-scale action visuals, retro styling and ensemble cast. The film quickly became a talking point online, with mixed reactions, as the film has maintained strong visibility on social media platforms, particularly among mass cinema audiences.

The Telugu release could play an important role in expanding the film’s reach, especially given the market’s long-standing appetite for stylised commercial entertainers. Apart from Dhruva Sarja, along with Reeshma Nanaiah, the film also features names like Sanjay Dutt, Kichcha Sudeepa, Shilpa Shetty, Ravichandran and Ramesh Aravind, giving the project familiarity across multiple language industries.

For Dhruva Sarja, too, the Telugu version marks another attempt at widening his reach outside Karnataka. Over the last few years, several Kannada films have managed to build strong theatrical traction in Telugu states, and KD appears to be place within that larger commercial space.

With Mythri Movie Makers backing the release and KVN Productions continuing its aggressive promotional push, the focus now shifts towards how Telugu audiences will respond to Prem-Dhruva Sarja's high-energy action drama.
