Ragini Dwivedi takes center stage in the newly released song from Madanika, appearing in a striking warrior avatar as she wields a sword in the period drama directed by BS Sanjay.

Speaking about the film, Sanjay said the idea evolved organically through unexpected real-life incidents during development. “I narrated the story to my wife and Kumaraswamy, and they encouraged me to make it,” he said, adding that Ragini came on board after hearing the script. The film features ten songs, including a strong classical music base.

Ragini Dwivedi said the film has been a 'two-and-a-half-year journey,' which comes with shifting filmmaking technologies and evolving production methods. “The emotions remain the same, but everything around storytelling has changed,” she said. She added that Madanika blends action, music and classical elements in a format not seen in recent years.

Music composer Salam Kerala called the project a career-defining one, noting that the director pushed for a classical-heavy score rather than a general soundtrack approach.

Actor Victory Vasu described the title character as a powerful, captivating figure, praising Ragini’s portrayal and his long association with the director.

Produced under SPR Productions and Sakarth Digital House by Sujata Lakshmi and Kumaraswamy, Madanika also stars Dharma Keerthiraj, Harish Raj, Ashwin and Rajiv, with cinematography by R Giri and action choreography by Manju and Kaurava Venkatesh.
