Actor-director Rishab Shetty has set social media abuzz after dramatically reducing his Instagram following list, unfollowing several close associates including longtime friend Rakshit Shetty. The move comes shortly after Ugadi, when Rishab had hinted at his upcoming project and quietly unfollowed Hombale Films, triggering speculation among fans.

As rumours began circulating, the actor went on to unfollow actors Rukmini Vasanth and Raj B Shetty, intensifying discussions online. What caught many by surprise, however, was his decision to also unfollow Rakshit Shetty, leading to widespread curiosity. Rishab, who enjoys a following of over 1.7 million on Instagram, has shared more than 450 posts so far. Until about two weeks ago, he followed over 140 accounts. That number has now dropped drastically to just a handful. Currently, he follows only his wife Pragathi Shetty, his production banner Rishab Shetty Films, and the Rishab Shetty Foundation. However, an interesting contrast has emerged in this social media shake-up. While Rishab Shetty has personally unfollowed several actors and collaborators, his production banner Rishab Shetty Films continues to follow a number of industry names including Yash, Radhika Pandit, Raj B Shetty among many others.

A festival pattern or a personal reset for Rishab Shetty?

For some time now, there had been speculation about differences between Rishab Shetty and Raj B Shetty, as well as reported disagreements with Hombale Films. His recent social media activity has only added fuel to these rumours, though no official clarification has been provided so far.

On the work front, Rishab Shetty is currently working on Jai Hanuman, directed by Prasanth Varma. The film, which recently went on floors in Hampi, is expected to release next year. While plot details remain under wraps, the story is expected to revolve around the valor, devotion, and ideals of Hanuman.
