The makers of Gramayana, starring Vinay Rajkumar and Megha Shetty, launched the film’s trailer in the presence of Raghavendra Rajkumar, Mangala Raghavendra, Yuva Rajkumar, Hamsalekha, Vijay Kumar, Naveen Shankar and Simple Suni.

The film carries added emotional weight as it marks the final screen appearance of veteran television anchor and actor Aparna, who passed away two years ago. The trailer was unveiled by actor Vijay Kumar and Aparna’s husband Nagaraj Vastare, and has since received a warm response online.

Devanuru Chandru: Cinema taught me patience

Recalling Aparna’s memories from the shoot, Nagaraj Vastare said, “Whenever she returned from the sets, she would excitedly speak about the village backdrop and her shooting experience. Releasing the trailer of her last film without her is emotional. I hope Graamaayana becomes a huge success.”

Duniya Vijay Kumar praised both the trailer and the team, calling director Devanuru Chandru “the second Suri.” He added, “I have great affection for Vinay Rajkumar. The trailer has come out beautifully, and I wish the entire team and Lahari Films the very best.”

Producer Naveen Manoharan noted that Graamaayana is the ninth production of Lahari Films and also Vinay Rajkumar’s ninth film as a lead actor. “Nine has turned out to be a lucky number for us. We’re confident audiences will connect with the film,” he said.

Speaking about the project, Vinay Rajkumar said, “It’s been a long journey since we began this film, but everything happens at the right time. I’ve played a character unlike any I’ve done before.”

Director Devanur Chandru expressed confidence that audiences would leave theatres satisfied, saying the film would be worth every penny spent on a ticket.

The film stars Loose Mada Yogi, Achyuth Kumar, Gopalakrishna Deshpande, Arun Sagar, Seetha Kote and Bala Rajawadi.

Graamaayana has music by Poornachandra Tejaswi and cinematography by Santhosh Rai Pathaje. The film releases in theatres across Karnataka on July 3.
