Siddu Moolimani-starrer Seat Edge has made its OTT debut following its theatrical release across Karnataka on January 30. Blending horror, comedy, and suspense, the film marks the directorial debut of Chetan Shetty and brings a darkly entertaining narrative to audiences in the digital space.
Produced by Giridhar T Vasanthapura under the NR Cinema Productions banner, with Sujatha Giridhar as co-producer, Seat Edge featured Siddu Moolimani in a prominent role after Love You Muddu.
The film revolves around a vlogger who ventures into ghost hunting in pursuit of online attention and viral content, only to find himself caught in a chain of shocking and unpredictable events. Drawing from the growing culture of YouTubers and social media creators chasing popularity through risky adventures, the story combines thrills with social commentary.
Speaking earlier about the project, director Chetan Shetty had said that the film was inspired by the lengths to which vloggers and YouTubers go to gain views and fame. He noted that Seat Edge explores the consequences of stepping recklessly into unfamiliar territory while packaging the message within a dark comedy and suspense-thriller framework.
Before turning director, Chetan Shetty worked as an assistant director on Chemistry of Kariyappa and Critical Keerthanegalu, making Seat Edge his first feature as filmmaker.
Shot over 45 days across Bengaluru, Mysuru, Shivamogga, and Kuduremukha, the film features cinematography by Deepak Kumar JK, editing by Nagendra K Ujjani, music by Akash Parva, and choreography by Raghu RJ. The film’s song 'Hango Hingo', composed by Akash Parva, had earlier gone viral and generated buzz ahead of the release.
