After weeks of uncertainty and a prolonged legal battle, Boss has finally received the green signal for release. The Karnataka High Court has dismissed the appeal filed by actor Darshan and his wife Vijayalakshmi Darshan seeking a stay on the film’s release, paving the way for the movie to reach audiences.
The verdict marks a victory for Tanush Cinemas and the entire team of Boss, which had been involved in a legal battle for nearly one-and-a-half months. The makers have described the outcome as a victory for justice and the constitutional right to freedom of expression.
Expressing happiness over the court’s decision, actor-producer Tanush Shivanna thanked everyone who supported the film during the challenging period. He said the team always believed in its work and is confident that audiences will embrace the film with the same love and support.
Director Lava V also welcomed the judgment, stating that the team had complete faith in the legal system throughout the long legal process. He said the verdict strengthened their belief that justice remains equal for everyone and reaffirmed their respect for the country’s judicial system.
While the legal proceedings caused delays and resulted in financial losses for the team, the makers maintained that they hold no bitterness towards anyone. Lava V expressed hope that Darshan overcomes his current difficulties soon and wished him well, adding that the team does not wish harm upon anyone.
The Boss team also addressed the misinformation and criticism surrounding the film during the legal dispute. The makers claimed that attempts were made to spread false information about the movie and stated that they hold no ill feelings towards those involved. With the legal issues now resolved, their focus has shifted entirely towards bringing the film to audiences.
With all hurdles cleared, the makers, who have released the film's trailer of Boss, are planning to bring the film to theatres soon.
