For over two decades, Loose Mada Yogi has built a career by taking on a variety of roles, earning a loyal audience along the way. Now, as he prepares for his 51st film, Forever, the actor says he is playing a character that is different from anything he has done before.

Directed by Chandrika filmmaker Yogesh M and produced by M Venkatanarayan (Tagore Krishna) under the Supreme Creations banner, Forever was launched recently with Action Prince Dhruva Sarja, Yogi's longtime friend and schoolmate, giving the first clap for the opening shot. MLA Krishnappa switched on the camera, while Nagarahavu producer Sajid Qureshi unveiled the film's first-look poster. The title was also revealed in a unique way, it was displayed on a tanker at the venue.

While the launch celebrated the commencing of the film, the focus remained on what Forever hopes to offer. Carrying the tagline, "A timeless love story," the film is centred on romance but will also feature action, emotion and commercial elements. The makers say there is another aspect to the story that they will reveal closer to the film's release.

For Yogi, the project comes after a gap of nearly two years as a lead actor. He believes the script gives him the opportunity to present a different side of himself on screen. The actor, who is also passionate about motorcycles in real life, said the story's connection to biking made him relate to the character even more. Director Yogesh M revealed that the film has been in development for several years. He spent much of that time writing the script during his travels and finally took shape with the film going on floors. The first schedule will be shot in Bengaluru. Producer M Venkatanarayan reveals that Forever marks the first production from Supreme Creations. The film also introduces Akanksha Rao to Kannada cinema, while Praddyottan composes the music and Sanketh handles the cinematography.
