For a film that has carefully guarded its plot, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups has finally revealed a glimpse of its emotional core—and it comes wrapped in a song called 'Tabaahi'.

The first single from Geetu Mohandas' action drama isn't designed to tell you the story. Instead, it leaves you in anticiaption. The song's video introduces a relationship that looks as intoxicating as it is destructive, with Yash and Kiara Advani sharing a screen presence that's equal parts sensual, stylish and mysterious.

If the teaser introduced the world of Toxic, 'Tabaahi' introduces its heart.

Yash seen away from the larger-than-life action persona audiences have come to expect, embracing one of his most intimate on-screen performances. Kiara matches him beat for beat, and together they create a romance that feels less like a fairy tale and more like a forbidden obsession. Every glance, every embrace and every kiss adds another layer to a relationship that promises to be central to the film.

The makers had teased the song with a mysterious social media exchange. "What do you call a forbidden love that exists only in stolen moments?" they asked, tagging Kiara. Her one-word reply—'Tabaahi'—set social media buzzing before the full video finally dropped.

Composed and sung by Vishal Mishra, the song blends soaring orchestral arrangements with electric guitars, giving the romance an edge that mirrors the film's gritty world. Released in Hindi, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam, the multilingual track features lyrics by Raj Shekhar (Hindi), Yogaraj Bhat (Kannada), Ramajogayya Sastry (Telugu), Vignesh Shivan (Tamil) and Rafeeq Ahamed (Malayalam).

"'Tabaahi' isn't a conventional love song," says Vishal Mishra. "It's about the intensity of love, surrender, and a fire that doesn't seek permission. Yash brings a rare conviction to the screen, and I wanted every note to carry that same emotion."

Starring Yash, Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, Rukmini Vasanth and Huma Qureshi, Toxic has been written by Yash and Geetu Mohandas and shot in Kannada and English before being dubbed into multiple languages. The film produced by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations to hit the theatres worldwide on August 26.
