

Earlier, we reported about legendary filmmaker Singeetam Srinivasa Rao coming back to direction after a long hiatus with a film, produced by Nag Ashwin of Kalki 2898 AD fame under his banner Vyjayanthi Movies. There is excitement aplenty among film lovers and fraternity members following the announcement regarding the filmmaker's project, described by Vyjayanthi Movies as his career's "most ambitious". It brings Singeetam back together with Nag Ashwin after Kalki 2898 AD, to which the former gave his creative inputs.
Adding to the buzz around the film, actor Shivarajkumar shared his excitement for it. Taking to X, Shivarajkumar said that the news about Singeetam Srinivasa Rao's comeback to direction brings "immense joy" to him. Referring to the director of his first film, 1986's Anand, the actor said that the filmmaker was ahead of his time in terms of his thoughts, citing 1987's Pushpaka Vimana as proof of this quality. Interestingly, Shivarajkumar won the Cinema Express Award for Best Actor for his performance in the 1986 film, and Pushpaka Vimana stars Shivarajkumar's favourite actor Kamal Haasan.
Shivarajkumar also said that the legendary filmmaker's energy and enthusiasm for direction even at the age of 94 years is an inspiration for everyone. The actor also revealed that Singeetam is the only filmmaker to direct him, his father Dr Rajkumar, as well as his brothers Raghavendra Rajkumar and Puneeth Rajkumar. He ended his note by conveying his best wishes to the film and Singeetam.
Sources close to the project told CE that Shivarajkumar has put out the aforementioned post out of his respect for the filmmaker and his collaborations with his family. The film's makers are yet to confirm whether he has any involvement in the project. Speaking of which, composer Devi Sri Prasad is also part of the legendary filmmaker's project.
