Yash, who is currently working on his upcoming film Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, releasing on March 19, showed his support to the upcoming Kannada film, Amruthaanjan, by posting a note of appreciation for the team on Instagram.
Amruthaanjan, released on January 30, marks the big-screen debut of a young team that first won attention with their viral short film Amruthaanjan, which garnered millions of views. In his message, Yash said he has always admired the team’s work, noting how they moved from short-format content to a full-length film—a journey he called inspiring for aspiring storytellers and content creators. He concluded by wishing the team success in their cinematic venture.
Yash’s rare public encouragement gives a significant boost to this newcomer team.
Directed by Jyothi Rao Mohith (JRM), Amruthaanjan is a full-fledged comedy entertainer, blending 80 percent humour and 20 percent emotion. The film explores themes of love, friendship, and relationships, with songs and action sequences designed to keep audiences engaged.
The cast includes Sudhakar Gowda R, Gaurav Shetty, Karthik Ruvary, Payal Chengappa, Sri Bhavya, Pallavi Parva, Naveen D Padil, Madhumathi, Chethan Durga, and the rest of the ensemble from the original Amruthaanjan short film team. Sumanth Acharya on cinematography, Kiran Kumar on editing, and Rohith Sower providing the score.
